U-Know Yunho of TVXQ to Star in a Drama
KBS on 27.07.2009, 21:25 (UTC)
U-Know Yunho of TVXQ was cast as the male lead of a new drama titled “Heading to the Ground.” The 23-year-old singer will be making his acting debut on this soccer drama. He will be playing the role of Cha Bong-goon, an unlucky soccer player who passionately pursues his dream of joining the national team despite many difficulties.
Producers of “Heading to the Ground” chose to cast Yunho in the leading role, because they thought that, just like Cha’s, the life Yunho led until he joined TVXQ was full of ups and downs, but that did not deter Yunho from achieving his lifelong dream. Yunho is really looking forward to his acting debut, saying that he’s excited to be playing the role of Cha. He said he’ll try his best to portray the character with sincerity.
The Wednesday-Thursday drama is scheduled to air on September 9. Other cast members include Lee Sang-yoon, who will fight Yunho’s character over a girl.

TVXQ’s Yun-ho has a heart of gold
http://popseoul.com on 27.07.2009, 21:25 (UTC)
Who doesn’t love a charitable soul from a hot bod like Yun-ho?
Recently, DBSK’s leader Yun-ho, returned to Korea on June 18th after their concert in Beijing. Yun-ho, along with his father and a few high school friends, volunteered at the orphanage for a day of cleaning, serving food and playing with the kids. Apparently, not even his agency, SM Entertainment knew that Yun-ho had returned to Korea to volunteer at the orphanage. Of course, no good deed goes unnoticed by fans. It was fellow volunteers at the orphanage that noticed Yun-ho and uploaded pictures of the star on their blog.
A staff member of the orphanage highly praised Yun-ho stating,
It’s not often the children get to see a celebrity and they were surprised and delighted by U-know Yun-ho’s surprise visit. Yun-ho gifted the children with music by giving them a live performance and also showed his devotion by helping those around him, touching the hearts of many.
After volunteering at the orphanage, Yun-ho quietly returned to Japan to resume promotional activities. Even if he’s not making a comeback in Korea, at least he’s leaving a good mark.

Dong-bang-shin-ki calls it quits?
http://popseoul.com on 19.07.2009, 18:30 (UTC)
Could this be?
The rumor mill has been going into overdrive when Dong-bang-shin-ki canceled the “Summer SM Town” jacket photoshoot on June 25th. Also, the boys’ health has weakened after promoting their 4th album in Japan. Not only that, Junsu’s injury has fed the rumors that DBSK will no longer stay together.
However, SM Entertainment has squashed rumors by saying that it is groundless.
And it must be, since Dong-bang-shin-ki left for Thailand on June 26th for “THE 3rd ASIA TOUR CONCERT-MIROTIC” in Bangkok on June 27th and 28th. DBSK will move on to Tokyo, Japan on July 4th and 5th to perform at the Tokyo Dome.

TVXQ’s Yoo-chun sporting new haircut
http://popseoul.com on 19.07.2009, 18:29 (UTC)
He just loves experimenting, doesn’t he?
At the Thailand press conference for TVXQ on June 26th, Micky Yoo-chun was spotted with a brand new haircut. Netizens are just fascinated with the fact that his new do looks exactly like what his momma sports. Perhaps, he decided to go to his mom’s stylist.
It’s not as questionable as his ahjumma cut from a while back, or edgy like his “Mirotic” sweep. Although it makes him look like a really wholesome looking girl, I personally think he looks quite good and this is probably the most normal haircut he has had in a while. Micky is like the G-Dragon of DBSK, except only with hairstyles and not as outrageous.

TVXQ first Korean group to rock the Tokyo Dome
http://popseoul.com on 19.07.2009, 18:28 (UTC)
Of course, you only bring the best and the biggest to the Tokyo Dome.
As TVXQ’s last stop for their fourth live tour on July 4th and 5th, the “Rising Gods of the East” are going to perform at the famed Tokyo Dome as the first Korean group to do so. Apparently, Rain was the first Korean artist to perform at the Tokyo Dome in 2007, but he failed to draw a crowd big enough to fill the whole stadium. I don’t foresee that sort of problem for TVXQ though. They are going to receive a packed house if anything.
The Tokyo Dome boasts a 55,000 seating capacity, and is about four times bigger than the largest stadium in Korea. Top Japanese artists, such as SMAP, KAT-TUN, KinKi Kids, and X-JAPAN, as well as many world stars, including Madonna, Bon Jovi, and The Rolling Stones, have all graced the Tokyo Dome in the past.
The boys are flourishing in Japan. All we can do from Korea is watch from afar and go “Atta boys!” as we wait patiently for their return to the motherland. When is that going to happen?

TVXQ bust down the walls for Oronamin
http://popseoul.com on 19.07.2009, 18:27 (UTC)
…in their first domestic Japanese commercial!
After a successful run on their fourth live tour and hitting it big with their final performances at the Tokyo Dome, TVXQ have finally established themselves with their first appearance in a Japanese CM. Alongside drama darling Aya Ueto, the boys endorse “Oronamin C Drink” as being the refreshing burst to a tedious day on the job.
This is TVXQ’s first collaboration with Aya Ueto. At the press conference on July 7th, Aya Ueto said coyly with a smile, “I’m happy to monopolize [TVXQ].” Girl sounds precocious, wonder if the Cassiopeians mind.
Aya Ueto plays the role of an OL (office lady), who is faced with the clumsy dilemma of not knowing how to operate a copier correctly. Then BOOM, the boys of TVXQ come in to ease her distress with some acappella, dance, and a bottle of Oronamin C Drink.
Check it out~they don’t help with her copy problem though. TVXQ is handsome, not helpful.
